Are you in Dallas tomorrow? Check out the HipShootOut Exhibit, Saturday, July 31

Hipstamatic HipShootOut Dallas iPhoneography

.

If you’re in or around the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex tomorrow, Saturday, July 31, 2010, check out one of the area’s first brick and mortar exhibits of iPhone photography.

intownmix is sponsoring the HipShootOut Exhibit here in Dallas tomorrow evening. This exhibit is part of a non-credit class previously offered at the University of Dallas, but submissions were open to all. I’m excited about this event right here in my own backyard. I’ll have three photos on display and I can’t wait to see the homegrown iPhoneography that Dallas-based photographer Ange Fitzgerald’s class created.

Proceeds from this event benefit local Dallas charities.

HipShootOut Exhibit

Saturday, July 31, 2010
6:30pm – 9:00pm
The University of Texas at Dallas – Visual Arts Building – Gallery
800 W. Campbell Rd. (enter from Waterview)

The exhibit is complimentary and open to the public.
All pieces signed by the artist and priced at $20.

A non-juried art show featuring the types of beautiful old school images you can achieve with the Hipstamatic app via iPhone.

Guests purchase as many chances to draw as they like, draw a number that matches a corresponding art piece. At the close of the exhibition when all the HipstaPrints have been sold, you have the option of trading w/ other guests who have purchased art.

Part of the proceeds will help to raise milk money for a free mobile summer lunch program event organizers are involved with through AmeriCorps and Central Dallas Ministries called Food on the Move, a project that will provide more than 500,000 meals for kids in low income areas this summer in Dallas.

Creating social media through the use of Internet Magazines since 2001, the dream continues; Bring thousands of entrepreneurs (artists at heart), visual artists, patrons, professionals, enthusiasts, business owners, artists of words and friends together in support of unique ideas, start fresh conversations of unlimited possibilities and share a little wine.

Let the shooting begin!
