iPhoneography by Regina Walker

If you’re in Miami area this weekend, stop by Artspace MAGQ Gallery where The International Cell Phone Photo Show continues through Thursday, November 4, 2010. The show is open to the public from Friday, October 8th until Thursday, November 4, 2010. The address is below.

Among the other many mobile phone photographers, New York photographer Regina Walker has 33 images on display, including the two shown here.

“I took [these two] photos with my iPhone. Some of the images I photoshopped but just minimally,” says Regina. “Many of them were just “as is”. They are all taken in NYC but not the standard images one would expect.”

More of Regina Walker’s cell phone photography can be found on her blog.

“The International Cell Phone Photo Show” is a juried exhibit, showcasing artists worldwide that have submitted work produced using any cell phone available to the artist.

Here is the link for many of the images that are on display at the Artspace MAGQ show. One of the things that is interesting about this show are the large number of images that were shot with other mobile devices, including Droid and others. Without the large number of apps available for their phones, there are a lot of “naked” unprocessed images in this collection, such as Regina’s. It’s an interesting cross-section of mobile phone photography.

If you’re in or near Miami, Florida the next few weeks, check out this excellent display of cell phone photography. The exhibition runs through November 4, 2010
