The Pixels – The Art of the iPhone at Apple event is this Thursday, October 21, 2010 at the North Michigan Avenue store, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. This is the second Pixels at Apple iPhone photography event directly associated with Apple.

Several artists will be speaking and presenting, including Canada’s Dan Berman (Reservoir_Dan), Miami’s Jaime Ferreyros and Life In LoFi’s Marty Yawnick (hey, that’s me!). A number of new works as well as photography from prior exhibits will be featured, along with videos, slide-shows, and interviews of Pixels artists projected on the big screen in the theater. There will be a Q&A with the photographers, who will also be available after the presentations.

Curator Knox Bronson also coordinated the first brick-and-mortar iPhoneography exhibit, Pixels at an Exhibition in Berkeley, California in earlier this year.

Thursday’s event will also include new and previously seen works from Maia Panos, Knox Bronson, Judy Green, Christian Peacock, Jon Betts, Suzan Mikiel, Jose Chavarry, Ramona Gillentine, Jason Feather and many other iPhoneographers.

Other Pixels at Apple events are scheduled for New York City on Friday, October 29 and Santa Monica, California on Thursday, November 11. London and other events are also planned.

If you are in the Chicago area Thursday night, we’ll be there — we’re looking forward to meeting you. Stop by for a very interesting and insightful evening of iPhoneography art, history and theory.
