Halftone is the app from Juicy Bits that recreates the pulpy, aged, halftone feel of old comic books. Even before this update, it was probably the best app for recreating pulpy, comic book-style images. The new 1.4 update is out and adds speech balloons — a popular user requested feature — and a dozen new paper styles.
There are several balloon styles in the new speech balloon feature and it takes a little getting used to for placing the balloons. Once you get the feel, it’s a great addition and really cool for adding comic book style to your photos.
