Cool Link: The Next Gen iPhone Zoom Lens?

Here’s a cool link that’s full of geek and bound to make your brain hurt. A post on EOSHD from last year talks about next generation mobile phone camera lenses by Sony and Omnivision, the current manufacturer of the iPhone’s cameras. LomoLomo, LemeLeme, Leme Camera… Whatever.

The app formerly known as LomoLomo has been renamed. Again. After a brief stint as LemeLeme HD, the app is now called Leme Camera. This week, anyway. All cameras and lenses in Leme Camera are now free, which is bound to make some users happy, but will hack others off.

Instagram’s Worldwide Photowalk #2: 7 May 2011

Instagram were so impressed by the turnout for the first Worldwide InstaMeet that they wanted to get another one together as soon as they could. The next meetup will be on Saturday, 7 May,2011.

I was part of the Dallas, Texas InstaMeet. It was cool to see what everyone “saw” when we were shooting the same subject. I encourage all Instagrammers to get together with others in their hometown for a photowalk.

Instagram’s New Web Viewer Does More, But Still Not Enough.

There’s slow but steady progress in Instagram-land. As we anxiously await the release of the long-promised Android version of the app bringing with it hordes of new Instagrammers to share with (more importantly, hordes of new Android users to show off our iPhone photo apps to), it’s easy to overlook some of the cool stuff that Instagram have released in the past few months.

Dropico for iPhone – Back in the App Store with a New Update

After a brief hiatus from the App Store, the iPhone version of Dropico is back and updated to version 2.0.1. The new update cryptically says only “Bug fixes”. I suspect one or two of those bugs were what caused the app to go away for a while.

Dropico is a social photo app for iOS and Android devices. It connects to just about every social photo network you would use except Instagram. It’s improved a lot since version 1.0, but I still found a few bugs in this version.
