New Cameramatic Update Now Sends Straight to Instagram
Cameramatic by youthhr is an app that’s updated often, and rarely just for bug fixes and performance tweaks, but more often for new features and filters. The new 1.2.6 update now in the App Store is no exception. This update features no new bug fixes but introduces direct-to-Instagram sharing, making Cameramatic one of the first apps to have this very cool feature and a perfect match for their square frame formats.
The other new feature in this update is smooth scrolling in the app’s Lightbox, but the really cool part about this update is the Instagram integration. Cameramatic even drops your photo in perfectly framed for Instagram — no adjusting or cropping needed.
Other apps are slowly adopting Instagram’s built-in hook, which is an excellent feature for this popular social photo network. Cameramatic’s great set of filters makes it not only an excellent square format photo app, but a very powerful Instagram companion as well.
Cameramatic is available for $1.99 in the App Store. It’s compatible with iPhone, iPod touch (4th generation), iPad 2 Wi-Fi, and iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G. Requires iOS 4.0 or later.

Playing with this app. So far, pretty cool! But, noticed that when the camera is flipped around facing you, the resolution is only 480×480 even though I have it set for High Resolution. Is this just normal for the front-facing camera, or a bug?
Got the answer to this. I didn't know the front facing camera only does 640×480.
