New Limited-edition Hipstamatic Hornbecker Lens Available Free July 1st!
UPDATED: Now with new info on Friday’s new FreePak.
Hipstamatic’s limited-edition NSW Always On FreePak is available for two more days through June 30th as a free in-app download in Hipstamatic. The FreePak includes a new “case” and two very nice black & white films, AO BW Film and AO DLX Film. It’s gone after tomorrow so grab it now. There’s no guarantee that these films will be available again.
On July 1st, the second part of this Hipstamatic Nike promotion will be released. On Friday, Hipstas will be able to download the free Hornbecker lens — also for a limited time. UPDATE 06.29.11 @13:00: Hipstamatic are keeping the films available in Friday’s new FreePak.

The color new lens (see sample above) is definitely being released on Friday. I haven’t received confirmation yet if availability of the two Nike films will be extended. UPDATE: They will. See above. I’ll keep you posted here as soon as I find out anything.

New stuff…sweet!
I just recently started using Hipstamatic again. It's become much quicker since I last used it and I'm enjoying the randomness that I lost since going mostly to post-editing my photos.
I for one am excited about the new lens!
any word on whether a 220 update is coming. there seemed to be a hint in the original promo for the Nike free pak (by way of the “220″ being shown in the yellow dot on the case in the promo photo), but the latest promo only has a blank yellow dot?
The Hipstamatic 220 has been in beta for a while, but I don't know what new features it may have. I haven't heard any plans of its release. I'll keep you posted as soon as I find out anything.

… this new lens will be Hipstamatic's last change to justify its place on my iPhone. Having swapped it for a standard camara app (6×6 or Camerasharp) and a good editing tool (PhotoToaster) I don't miss the "press 'n pray" that you get with Hipsta. Aye, I know that's what you pay for, but the results are just too inconsistent. Don't get me wrong – Hipsta is a great, great app, but I I prefer to have more control over the final result.
I'd have to see your results. Your photos, with your own time-consuming post-production, might suck.
Now it's the 1st of july but there isnt any new download of this Nike lense yet. I cant wait anymore! When is it released? The two Nike films I already use. The soft tones of the black&white are great!

Can't even find the films, let alone the lens. Any ideas?

Got mine at 4:30PM EST. Don't look in downloads – look for Featured Camera Gear for Free Pak … Initial tests with Hornbecker lens indicate a very sharp lens with no light leaks , vignettes , color casts or other effects . Saturation is good but not over done – same with contrast …this lens is a very sharp : " what you see is what you get " straight ahead lens . Definitely a welcome addition for Hipsta lovers …I see a great fit with Blanko color film and AO BW Black & White film . Your results and opinions ?

Impressed and happy. The hornbecker is as advertised, as good as any iPhone lens ever released, and the films, especially Nikes and W40 are absolutely beautiful. 99 cents, thanks hipstamatic. You got me.
