A while back, I reviewed social photo app, Dropico. Basically, the app was like Instagram on steriods and shared with a ton of online photo sharing networks — eleven, the last time I checked. At the time, Google Plus wasn’t one of them.
Team Dropico have announced a new photo app, Google Plus Photo Importer for iPhone. It’s not a new feature of their Dropico app, but an entirely new app. It promises superfast photo importing from several of your online photo sharing sites, including Instagram.
The pressie below only mentions importing from other websites — essentially copying photos over from Facebook, Instagram, et al. I don’t have the app so I can’t confirm if it also uploads images from your iPhone’s photo library as well, which would also be handy.
Still, moving over large numbers of images quickly and easily might be worth a buck to quickly populate your Google+ photo albums. One of the cool features about this app are that these transfers are “cloud-to-cloud” and don’t use any of your bandwidth, which is especially helpful if you regularly exceed your provider’s 2 GB data cap.
It’s introductory priced at $0.99 for “a limited time.”
