lenslight for iPhoneLensLight features a variety of lens light effects including light Leaks, bokeh, spot lights, and surface glare. There are even a few lens flare effects added in. There are some crossover effects, but not many, including a few similar (not identical) spikes and streaks. LensLight is more about external light effects than its sibling.

LensLight, the sibling app to the popular LensFlare photo app, recently received a big update. Read more about the update and how you can win a free promo code for the app after the jump. >>>>

You can read my review of the first version of LensLight here. It still holds up and this great app has gotten more features and improvements since this review.

The version 3.0 update is a big one and adds some pretty cool new features, including color adjustment, new lens textures and new lens lights.

Color Control adds the ability to precisely adjust the color of every LensLight, giving an unlimited range of design options. Changing up the color and intensity of the effect is fairly easy within the flyaway color wheel.

The new lens textures feature add another layer of realism to the lens effect. Lens Textures range from dusty glass, specks and grunge, to various scratched surfaces. Different from standard texture effects from ohter photo apps, most of these textures simulation aberrations, damage or dirt in front of the lens.

The new features essentially give you unlimited options with the app.

I really like both LensLight and LensFlare. Both apps help add realisitic LoFi lens effects that are difficult or impossible to get with the iPhone’s camera.

LensLight is $0.99. It’s still old iPhone friendly! Requirements: Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.Requires iOS 3.2 or later.
