We’re back with Faved on Flickr, our regular showcase of iPhoneography. One of the good things about going a while between galleries is that there are a ton of excellent photographs to choose from. That’s also one of the bad things. To help get caught up, I’m going back a few weeks and will split this week’s Faved Showcase into two posts.
The lead image this week is a powerful bit of photojournalism caught by Shel Serkin, one of my favorite street photographers currently shooting with an iPhone. Other images this week include some stunning and well-shot photography from Dixon Hamby, Simon Sparks and Alessandro Orrea. There are some great abstracts from Jennifer Bracewell, Edina Herold, and Ginger Lucero, a brilliant and disturbing piece from Benamon Tame and the set finishes with a tribute to Beastie Boy MCA, Adam Yauch. I never got to see the Bea Stie Boys live, but I finally scored a copy of “Rock Hard.”

Marty is a self-employed graphic designer in the Fort Worth/Dallas Metroplex. He is an avid Rangers baseball, Chicago Cubs, Packers and Highbury Arsenal fan. In addition to capturing random moments with whatever camera is close by (usually his iPhone), his other interests include coffee, film, music, and traveling in seats 5E and 5F with his fiancé.

Marty! THANK you! Sorry for not having replied sooner, but it's only just clicked that when Marty adds an image as a favorite on flickr it's one of those that's "faved on flickr." Apparently I'm quite slow. But I'm also in wonderful company, or at least my photograph is. So again many thanks, and many thanks, once again, for doing this each week. It's much appreciated.
