Swipe, typography for iPhone iPad

swipe, typography fonts for iPhone and iPadSwipe is a new app allows you to add beautiful typography to your images with a simple swipe of your finger. Select from over 100 fonts, adjust size, color, transparency, rotation, and alignment.

I had a chance to have a look at the app. I’ve also got some promo codes to give away this weekend. Keep reading for more. >>>

Swipe is a pretty slick, easy to use app for adding typography and text to your images. You simply set your type’s baseline with the swipe of a finger and enter text. Swipe has over 100 fonts and it’s one of the nicer collections of typefaces available on iPhone. The emphasis on the typefaces is good-looking and usable, not cheesy and puppies. There’s even a great-looking adjustable drop shadow. Nice!

Swipe is very responsive. Moving text lines was as easy as grab and move. Even my large fingers didn’t have any problems. Changing any aspect of the text line is easy. Simply double tap the text line to bring up the editing window, where you can edit text, font, size, transparency and rotation. The app even has a snap-to guide in case your swipes aren’t as accurate as you would like. It’s a nicely done app and one of the more easy to use ones for iPhone for creating some good-looking typographic effects. You can do much more with Swipe than just watermark images.

Swipe shares to all the major photo sharing networks, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. It saves the image in its original resolution. No pixel loss. It strips out most EXIF info, though, including Geotags.

Swipe is only $0.99. It’s a Universal app and is designed for both iPhone and iPad. Requirements: Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Requires iOS 5.0 or later. This app is optimized for iPhone 5.
