procam-icnProCam is one of the more powerful camera replacement apps in the App Store. It contains an extensive set of tools and a usable, familiar user interface. It has a few unique features for a camera replacement app. I’ve had it since its release and it’s a pretty slick camera.

Today, we’ve got some copies of ProCam for iPhone (not to be confused with ProCamera by Cocologic) to give away! Want to win one? Keep reading to find out how. >>>

ProCam for iPhone is a camera replacement app with an advanced feature set, including separate exposure, focus and white balance locks — all easily accessible from the viewfinder. ProCam has a convenient heads up display that gives more information about the state of your camera. There’s a large, easy to use dial on the side of the viewfinder that changes the shooting modes. The digital zoom control is located on the edge of that making it easy to grab and use. The shutter release button is slightly oversized and easy to release. A slideaway menu hides many other options.

ProCam features both Volume Shutter and Volume Torch, which lets you easily toggle your device’s flash on and off in Torch mode. It also features multiple shooting resolutions including full device resolution, so you can better match your image to the purpose it’ll be used for.

The app comes from a great developer who is constantly listening to user feedback and updating the app with new features.

ProCam does not have a fast shot-to-shot time in native-resolution mode — as much as a few seconds on an iPhone 5, but it’s a very good camera for capturing everyday snapshots.

For me, the app has the look and feel of a digital point-and-shoot. It’s a very good upgrade that gives you many more options than the standard App Camera app.

ProCam for iPhone is $0.99 in the App Store. Requirements: Compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad. Requires iOS 5.1 or later. This app is optimized for iPhone 5.
