All clear. It is now safe to play in the Distressed FX pool.
We recently ran a preview of the new 1.2 update of Distressed FX, a good textures/grunge app. The update had a bug which caused the app to crash hard and quickly for many users.
The Distressed FX 1.2.1 update has been released. The bug that caused the crashing has been fixed. I’ve downloaded the update and have been using the app. This update is fast and stable on my iPhone 5. Best of all, the app is still FREE for a limited time.
According to one of the app’s developers, Steve Liddell, the crash was due to a condition in the code that deals with you denying permission for the app to share to Facebook. This bug seems to have been fixed in the new update. In fact, the app didn’t even ask me about Facebook when I first launched it this time. I was still able to easily share to Facebook.
No other new features in this update other than it not crashing. You can read all about the Distressed FX update in my previous post.
Distressed FX is normally $0.99 in the App Store. It’s available for free for a limited time, so grab it now and save a buck. It’s a Universal app for both iPhone and iPad. Requirements: Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Requires iOS 4.3 or later. This app is optimized for iPhone 5.
