Both Hueless and Huemore are powerful, simple, fast, and elegant cameras. They share the same interface and for the most part, the same tool set as well. Both are great camera apps to shoot with.

Hueless and Huemore were just updated this week. We’ve got details and giveaways for both apps. Keep reading for more. >>>

HuemoreBoth apps received a much improved focusing engine with separate focus and exposure targets available.

It’s pretty well-implemented the way it’s done here. Single-finger tap locks the single target Auto-focus — that’s both focus and exposure. A touch and hold locks the target in place. This is pretty much the way Apple Camera does it except the target stays visible until released, helping to better compose your shot.

Using a two-finger tap enables the separate focus and exposure targets, which can then be easily set onscreen. Targets are responsive and move when grabbed. They are also very visible and a good size. My fingers are not huge but they are big and I had no problems with these targets.

Targets stay locked until you release them, letting you hold focus and exposure longer. This is a feature I like a lot, as many camera apps release the targets pretty quickly, forcing you to refocus. Lock status is clearly marked. That’s a small, but helpful detail in a pair of apps that nearly always gets the details right.

There’s also a new aspect ratio, 5:4, another classic frame ratio. A vertical pinch quickly cycles you through the apps’ available aspect ratios. Everything can be locked into one of several presets.

I love black & white iPhoneography and my favorite camera app shoot it with is Hueless from curious satellite. It’s got a slick interface and a great toolset to help you shoot awesome looking black & white photos. The app just got an update, albeit a minor one, but it’s a great reason to give away some Hueless promo codes.

Hueless, in my opinion, is the best black-and-white camera app available for iPhone. It’s a fast and easy way to take beautiful looking black-and-white photographs. Its slick interface and powerful tool set make it fun and easy to shoot awesome looking black & white photos. It’s about getting black and white photographs the way I want them in camera.

Huemore is a color camera app with the same great interface as Hueless. The app has excellent exposure, contrast and saturation control and lets you see the results of your changes instantly in the viewfinder. Why shoot with Huemore? Because like Hueless, it lets you shoot color the way you want, consistently, without the tools getting in the way.

Hueless and Huemore are $2.99 each in the App Store. Please note that both apps do not post-process images from your camera roll. Hueless and Huemore are a camera. Requirements: Compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation), iPad 2 Wi-Fi, iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G, iPad (3rd generation), iPad Wi-Fi + 4G, iPad (4th generation), iPad Wi-Fi + Cellular (4th generation), iPad mini and iPad mini Wi-Fi + Cellular.
