VSCO (formerly VSCO Cam) (Free, with in-app purchases) have just released their latest preset ACG, developed in partnership with NikeLab. This excellent preset is free and given to us as proof that sometimes big companies do nice things for us.

The new #ACG preset is sweet. It cools down your image by taking the edge off the contrast, but it adds a bit of late afternoon warmth to a photo. It bumps the saturation a little. It holds detail and adds just a touch of grain.

According to VSCO, “The preset is especially suited for the bustling atmosphere of the city, from towering bright lights to the most intense climate conditions.” It’s a very urban preset, but does amazing things to outdoor images as well. It’s an outstanding preset. To me, the NikeLab ACG preset feels like the perfect film that I never shot with.

You can read more about the preset and the collaboration here on the VSCO grid. Here’s a gallery of the awesomeness:

The NikeLab ACG preset is now available free in-app for download on both iOS and Android.

VSCO is free and is the photo app of choice for many iPhone photographers. It comes nicely equipped with a good assortment of photographic process profiles. More are available for purchase in-app. If you’re unfamiliar with it, VSCO is basically a great all-in-one camera and processing app for iPhoneographers who love the look of film.
