New iPhone photo app Simply B&W is a simple tool/camera app that creates great looking black & white conversions comparable to user favorite Vint B&W, but with much more flexibility. I recently reviewed the app, giving it four stars. I like its color filters and I’ve been using this app a lot since reviewing it.

Bleach Bypass applies 8 Bleach Bypass style effects to your images. It adds a cinematic quality to your iPhone photos using high-quality image processing. It saves your images in FULL RESOLUTION with geolocation and full EXIF data.

It’s FREE right now in the App Store. No indication of how long this reduction will last, but it probably won’t last long. This is a good app that’s in my queue for a review. It creates some very nice looking effects and was designed with iPhoneographers in mind. It’s worth it for a dollar. Grab it now while it’s free!

Hello, nightowls! If you’re up late this July 4th holiday Sunday night, check out these sales and freebies in the App Store right now.

Iris Photo Suite for iPhone and Iris Photo Suite for iPad are both FREE right now in the App Store. They’ve been reduced for a couple of hours now. This giveaway won’t last very long. Click the links above and grab them now.

Snapseed for iPad, a pro-level iPad-only photo editor, is on sale through July 4th for only $1.99 — that’s a huge discount off its normal $4.99 price tag.

Within the free app Adobe Photoshop Express, the in-app purchase for the Adobe Camera Pack featuring the excellent Noise Reduction tool is now only $1.99 — a savings of $2.00 of the normal price of $3.99. I’ve reviewed it previously and at $1.99 the noise reduction tool becomes a much more attractive purchase.

And the great Halftone app is on sale for $0.99 through July 4th — a savings of $1.00. It’s a fun app and I think the best pulpy, comic-like, halftone generator in the App Store.

The recently updated PhotoForge2 is on sale for only $0.99 right now until the next update — that’s a savings of $2.00 off the regular price. This is a great price for this powerhouse image editor. This sale will only last until the next update is released.

There are a couple of things we can extrapolate from this announcement…. First, a new update is coming. Second, it looks like the next release will finally have native iPad support.

With this along with the release of the newly updated Filterstorm 3, the image editing apps category just got very interesting. Your move, Photogene….

The popular ClassicCAMERA apps from misskiwi are on sale now for a limited time. ClassicPAN, ClassicSAMP, and ClassicINSTA are all on sale right now for $0.99 each — a savings of $1.00 for each app.

Each of these apps feature the excellent set of authentic looking ClassicCAMERA retro analog film filters. Each app recreates a different style of toy camera. ClassicSAMP recreates several different plastic multi-shot cameras. ClassicINSTA replicates the style of analog instant photographs. And ClassicPAN is a great single-shot panorama camera app which recently got a great new SprocketRocket-like effect.

These are the siblings to the popular and highly recommended ClassicTOY app. The last time misskiwi’s ClassicCAMERA apps went on sale, it was for a very limited time and they went back to their regular price very quickly. If you’re missing any in the set, this is a great chance to grab them now before the price goes back up.

ScratchCam is a great, easy to use app that adds cool, stressed film and photo print effects to your pics using color and black & white effects, oversaturation and color shift combinations. It was recently updated and now lets you save presets.

ScratchCam is on sale now for a very limited time for only $0.99 — that’s a dollar off the regular price. This is for the full version of ScratchCam, not the resolution-reduced Lite version. These discounts often go away quickly. If you’ve been thinking about ScratchCam, this is a great time to grab it.

If you like shooting square frame, definitely check out Cameramatic by youthhr. It’s an excellent analog, retro, square frame format photo app with a ton of film, frame, and other analog effects, all easily interchangeable. Cameramatic has a powerful built-in effects editor that allows you to create your presets. It also lets you import images from your photo library.
