Great information, but missing a piece I am very interested in. Is there any way you can include to format of the image files, i.e. jpeg, tiff, psf and so forth?

Really grateful to have this information tabulated.

Commenter David mentioned the need for exif and iptc data. I am finding it very confusing when a camera or editing app doesn't store (or loses) the Camera Model or App which took the photo, or the date taken.

Are "entertainment" apps such as Orange camera, which takes cartoonized photos, appropriate for inclusion in this table?

Effectorium: Some nice live filters, but saves at 960×720 on an 4S. The camera is fully automatic, no focus / exposure settings.

Absolutely agree. The users that have those apps should write a bad review if they lie about it. And I think that it would be the case to find a common method to send a feedback to Apple to see if we can find a solution together to stop this annoying trend. How can an average customer knows who tell the truth or not?

"Slow shutter free" 1.0 (pretty much a clone of slow shutter cam). Saves at a whopping 480×320 making it one to not bother trying.

Also, what happens to apps that lie about their resolution? For example "Slow Shutter Cam" outputs 2592×1936 as it says in the table, but that's not the actual photo resolution. It's shooting at just 852×640 and upscaling.

And just to complicate that even more: How about 'Top Camera'? It outputs full res photos, but put it into light painting mode and try it. It's still outputting full res, but like slow shutter cam it's upscaling from a low res photo.

This is a very helpful chart. Thank you so much. I was thinking that now, it could be useful to know which apps manage exif data, and iptc too. But exif are becoming quite important.

Photology won't even open after upgrading to iOS 5. The app spits out an error message. Dismiss the message and it pops up again. And again and again and again and again and again and again and again and… oh, forget about it.

Can anyone tell me what is the highest iOS that Polarize can work with please?
AT what stage did it stop working. i've got an old iPhone 3G running 3.12 but iTunes tells me it can be updated to 4.2. I love polarize so much i don't want to blow it by updating too high. can't use it on my iP4 now unless i stop updating which is a shame. I feel the shots are so good it's worth resurrecting my old 3G.
Any help appreciated.
