iPhoneographer Kevin Buchanan is an intersting and creative Fort Worther. I had been reading his blog FortWorthology for years before we finally met this year at a local showing of his iPhone photography. Kevin has also had some of his photos selected for our regular “Faved On Flickr” feature as well.

Kevin recently reviewed two accessories for iPhoneographers — the POPA shutter release and the popular Olloclip, both for the iPhone 4 and 4S. Click past the jump for my thoughts and for a link to the review on Kevin’s blog. >>>>

Life In LoFi Status Update, 12.15.11

We’ve been doing some under the hood changes recently to the blog. Some of them you can see as tweaks to the social sharing buttons and minor improvements to the mobile version of the blog. Others are under the hood.

Any under-the-hood changes should not be noticeable to you (except for maybe a very, very small boost in page load speeds). If you are having any problems reading pages, commenting, or entering info in forms, please email me at lifeinlofiblog [at] gmail [dot] com.

We’ll be making a few more tweaks in the coming weeks — minor ones, but it should be blogging as usual and you shouldn’t really notice any difference. If there are any known issues during this time, I’ll post them in the comments to this post. Please let me know if you’re experiencing any problems with the blog.

As always, thank you for stopping in.

Snapheal for Mac is now available for download in the Mac App Store. I’ve had a chance to play around with the app. While it won’t fix everything you throw at it, Snapheal fixes a lot more than you’d think. It’s a very powerful tool and it’s very reasonably priced at under $20. Right now, Snapheal is introductory priced for only $9.99 for a limited time. Click past the jump for examples.

Percolator 2.0 Update Now Brewing in the App Store

Percolator 2.0 for iPhone ipad

percolator for iPhonePercolator is the Retro, coffee-inspired, modernist photo app that adds colorful, unique, geometric effects to your photos. I reviewed the original release here. I loved it then and subsequent releases have improved the app signficantly.

Percolator 2.0 has been “brewing” for a while. It’s the biggest update yet to the app. The update includes new “brews”, new controls, and some spiffy new animation. It’s a great, fun update packed with new features, but still retains the ease of use that made the previous versions great to work in.
