While the next update is going through the App Store approval process, Panoramatic 360 by floaty is on sale for $0.99 USD — that’s a savings of $2.
While apps like AutoStitch Panorama and Pano get most of the attention when it comes to pano apps, Panoramatic 360 is at least worth a look. While not as fast as either AutoStitch or Pano, it has features that both apps lack.
Update 03.25.10 11:09 PM CDT: Busy day here for free stuff…. That’s it! All the ClassicPAN promo codes have been given out. Stay tuned for other promo code giveaways. =M=

ClassicPAN is getting a new update soon. You can read our review of the the current version here. It’s older sibling of another misskiwi app that we like a lot, ClassicTOY. Both are camera apps with very nice analog and vintage filters.
To get you ready for the update, Life In LoFi has some free promo codes to give away. I’ll send one promo code to each of the first 12 readers who request one. Hit me up on Twitter/@MartyNearDFW, send me an email, or simply ask for one in the comments section here. One code per reader, please.
These codes work in the U.S. App Store only. They’ll only be valid until the update is released, so redeem them quickly.
Be sure to include an email address somewhere in your post for me to send the code to.
If you don’t get one of the free codes, ClassicPan is only $0.99 USD . (App Store link)

ClassicPan is a vintage-style panoramic camera app from misskiwi. I recently reviewed version 1.0.1 of the app. ClassicPan has been updated to version 1.0.3, currently available in the App Store, and it is a great update. Not only does it fix the two biggest issues I had with the app, but it adds two new film modes and some minor UI tweaks.
ClassicPan now supports higher resolutions. It now gives the option to save at 1530 x 680 pixels. While not full resolution for any iPhone, this is most certainly usable. The higher resolution also helps improve the details of the vintage filters.
ClassicPan — Vintage Panoramic Camera
Version 1.0.1
The Bottom Line: Good potential for novel photos, but version 1.0 needs some fixes.
ClassicPan
I like shooting landscape images and I like shooting with a wide aspect ratio. To me, a good panorama is a single frame right out of life’s big movie. Camera HD, a straightforward yet versatile aspect ratio app, landed on my main camera page the day it was released and has stayed there ever since.
ClassicPAN is a vintage-style panoramic camera app from misskiwi. While the iPhone’s camera normally shoots photos with a 4:3 aspect ratio, ClassicPan stores images to your camera roll in 9:4 panorama format. Like Camera HD, this is achieved by cropping the top and bottom of the frame, resulting in a “fixed lens” type of pano without any of the wide-angle distortion.
AutoStitch Panorama by Cloudburst Research has been updated to version 2.0. I really thought the last version, 1.1.2 was great and the new version brings speed improvements, high-resolution stitching and high resolution preview/cropping.
AutoStitch combines from 2 to 20 or more images and can create seamless (or nearly seamless) panoramas on your iPhone. This is cool in itself, especially for getting the really big shots.
