Perfectly Clear App Store Disappearance an App Store “Hiccup”. Should Return Soon.

Even with the improved camera of the iPhone 4, Perfectly Clear is still a regular part of my photo processing workflow. It’s one-button processing that compensates and tweaks color, contrast and brightness in iPhone photos. It improves image sharpness, punches up normally exposed images, and can help save poorly exposed ones.

One of LoFi’s Facebook followers just pointed out that Perfectly Clear hasn’t been available in the App Store for the past day or so. I contacted Athentech Imaging to find out what’s up with Perfectly Clear.

Facebook iPhone Photo Competition: March Winner, Laura Peischl

Every month, iPhoneographers submit photos based on a chosen theme in the iPhone Photo Competition on Facebook. The last month’s theme was “Connections”. The winner of this competition was iPhoneographer Laura Peischl once again, this time with her stunning photograph, shown above. Last weekend, Laura’s work was also featured in the “Strada Stretta” Exhibition in Malta.

ProCamera launches “Uncharted” iPhone Photo Competition

From the press release from ProCamera, here’s a new call for submissions. ProCamera and iPhoneArt.com has just launched “ProCamera Contest: Uncharted”, an iPhone Photo competition.

The contest is open to everyone. Prizes include an iPad 2, iTunes gift cards, museum-quality mounts, iBal mobile color balance filters, and entries in art exhibition. The submission period is open from April 18th to May 7th, 2011.

iPhoneographer Stephanie Roberts (@littlepurplecow on Twitter) has been extremely busy recently. Her new book, The Art of iPhoneography was released recently and is getting excellent peer reviews on Amazon.com. Fellow iPhoneographer Dixon Hamby says “This is a very good book. The Art of iPhoneography does have some “technical” info in the book like iPhone basics and how to use several apps, but the heart of the book is how to see and find your own voice.”
