Hipstamatic Gets Rowdy in Texas with the New SXSW Hipsta FreePak

Just in time to celebrate Texas’ Birthday and SXSW (South By Southwest, a huge music showcase down the road in Austin, Texas), Hipstamatic are releasing the new SXSW FreePak.
The new FreePak is available for a very limited time and contains the new Tejas lens and the commemorative Cowgirl camera case. The SXSW FreePak is only available through March 20, 2011 and then it’s gone. It’s a free in-app download, so check to the HipstaMart section of the app later today and grab it soon! It becomes available today, March 11, at 5:00 PM (Central Time)

Each Spring tech and music nerds alike descend upon the hippest town in all of Texas… Austin! This year Hipstamatic is making it easier than ever to document your festivities and relive them with a special limited edition lens and commemorative case. The people have spoken and “It’s hip to shoot n’ share square!” The Official SXSW FreePak will be available from Hipstamatic March 11-20, 2011.
As part of this festive shindig, Hipstamatic has partnered with SXSW to make the “TEJAS” lens, complete with warm worn tones and hints of a sunny southwestern glow. The official SXSW FreePak will be a free download from the HipstaMart section of the Hipstamatic App for iPhone. The SXSW FreePak comes with the Tejas Lens and commemorative Cowgirl Case. Throughout the festival, Hipstamatic ‘Community Ambassadors’ will be rocking parties, panel discussions, and street life day and night with the new gear. Live image feeds will be projected on the city walls in downtown Austin throughout the festival.
Hipstamatic users from around the globe can also be part of the action by submitting to our new Real Time Photographer Contest (sponsored by Macallan). In addition Hipstamatic will be hosting a daily photo shoot at Macallan’s Registration tent (March 11-15 from 2-7p & March 16 from 4-7p).
On Wednesday, March 16, Hipstamatic will team up will legendary lifestyle magazine, Esquire, and photograph all of the hottest celebrities in attendance. Images will be streamed at Esquire.com

Hmm, first impression is that the Tejas lens falls in between the Chunky, Kaimal, and Helga. Might be a good all-arounder.
Really, this is the best blog for iPhoneography in the whole internets! Thanks Marty for the continued excellent work that you do! I look forward to this new Hisptamatic lens… and I so wish I could go to SXSW (I actually want to perform there once I get my new band together.)
I agree, this is an awesome blog, thank you. I was so disappointed to miss the Hipstamatic Levi Holiday pak, with the Melodie lens. Now with this blog I know that won’t happen again. Very much appreciated.
Heck I'll be downloading this if for no other reason than to get the Dr. Strangelove/Slim Pickins-esque Cowgirl-Riding-A-Nuclear-Bomb camera cover!! YEEE HAAAA!!! I can safely say that will become my permanent cover from now on!!

it’s just gone live
I downloaded it, says it’s mine but I can’t use it, it just doesn’t show up when I slide to change the lenses 
same thing when I try to change to the camera case too 
I’m bummed..
Just got the lens. This one may be my go to lens. Nice vintagey color and no light leaks!!!! The few test shots I’ve done seem to work well with supergrain and claunch also.

Lynn, reboot your phone. Maybe that'll help..
thanks robyn for your advice! i did reboot but it didn't help…i worked on another method to get the pak on my jailbroken iphone
I cannot download the free pak after upgrade to ios4.3. It refuse to let me download even I login to hipsta. I have reboot my iPhone several times. Anyone share the same problem?
I have resolved the issue by creating another acc with hipsta. Here is the link to hipsta on this issue
