Instagram’s Worldwide InstaMeet #2 is Tomorrow, May 7!

Submitted by on May 6, 2011 – 11:53 am

#instameetdallas, 03/24/11

Instagram’s first Worldwide InstaMeet back in March went so well that they have organized another one. As previously reported here, the next meetup is tomorrow, Saturday, May 7, 2011, where you can meet, shoot and share with other Instagrammers . It’s a locally global event where you can get together with other Instagrammers in your area (or whichever area you’re in at the time). The last one was a blast here in Dallas and I highly recommend participating in yours.

This time, there are InstaMeets happening in over 300 510 cities all over the globe. Finding an InstaMeet is easy. Go to meetup.com/instagram to find and join an InstaMeet near you. We’ll be at the Dallas InstaMeet again, downtown in Farmer’s Market (it looks like we’re meeting up at 12:00 noon “Between Shed 2 and El Mercado restaurant.”). I hope to see some of you there!

SPREAD THE WORD

Once you’ve joined your city’s meetup group, help spread the word to other Instagrammers in your area.

  • Use the hashtag #instameet on Instagram and Twitter when posting about meetups
  • Post a note to your followers letting them know about the Instagram meetup page
  • Post a link to your city’s meetup page on Facebook and Twitter; email the page to your friends

Remember to tag your photos from your city’s photowalk with #instameet so Instagrammers in other cities can browse through photos from your meetup!

There’s a lot more info on Instagram’s blog.

Are you hosting or participating in an InstaWalk tomorrow? Share the details in the comments below.
