Lumiere is a photo app by nebulus design that takes toy camera and analog photo style pictures. It’s got some great features such as a cool live preview and great looking filters. I just reviewed the new update of the full version of Lumiere 1.1 here.

If you want to try the app before you buy it, Lumiere Lite was just released. The app is free and will also be watermark-free for the next several days.

Lumiere Lite has most of the features and filters of its commercial sibling Normal, Sepia, Super saturated, Cross processed, Golden aged, Intense B/W and Newspaper print — as well as numerous borders!

Lumiere Lite saves at a decent 1600×1200 maximum resolution — the same 2 MP resolution as an old iPhone 2G or 3G and higher than the commercial app’s first release. Without a watermark, Lumiere Lite is a pretty good release on its own.

“*** For initial release week the lite version will be watermark free! ***”

I’m not sure how they’ll add the watermark after the first week or so, probably an update to the app. Lumiere Lite is a good lite version of the app right now without the watermark. The app will stay free, but for the next few days, this is a good opportunity to download it without an irritating watermark.

You can also buy the full, non-watermarked commercial version of Lumiere for $1.99 in the App Store.

Requirements: Compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod touch (4th generation), iPad 2 Wi-Fi, and iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G. Requires iOS 4.2 or later.
