If you’re in or near the capitol of South Africa on Thurday, September 1, here’s an event you should definitely check out.

On the 1st of September South Africa will host it’s first ever iPhoneography exhibition, at the iStore in Sandton, Johannesburg. Hosted by tech blogger Marc Forrest, in conjunction with Core, the official Apple distributors in South Africa, the event promises to be an exciting evening.

With close on 450 images entered for the exhibition, a panel of judges whittled it down to around 150 images to be displayed on the night. These are a combination of Instagrams as well as fuller sizes. Entries were open to anyone in South Africa, and the aim of the event is to promote and show how fantastic iPhoneography really is, and of course, how “the best camera is the one that’s with you…”

For more information on the exhibition, you can visit the exhibition page, where we will be posting pics of the event after it has happened. You can also follow the #iPhoneographySA hashtag on Instagram to see how the evening progresses.
