iPhoneography: Faved On Flickr, 02.05.12

Red by brionline

It’s the Super Bowl edition of our regular Sunday showcase, Faved On Flickr. Each Sunday, we showcase two dozen images from the photos submitted each week to Life In LoFi‘s group on Flickr. This week, there were over 1,800 images to choose from. With that number, it was very touch to curate and there were many excellent images that didn’t make the feature this week.

Click past the jump for the great photography that made this week’s showcase. >>>

This week’s lead image is “Red,” a haunting piece by Brionline, with its has a very dark, moody, impressionistic feel. There are more excellent works this week by Jennifer Bracewell, Aik Beng Chia, Lynette Jackson, Daniel Berman, Greg Schmigel, Jon Yager, Jennifer Ford, Jim Darling, Robin Sweet and many other iPhoneographers. I love to see cohesive series and this week there are selections from London Street Portraits by Alvaro Arregui.

Don’t forget to visit Life In LoFi on Flickr to see the excellent iPhoneography in all of this week’s submissions.

Links go back to the iPhonegrapher’s Flickr photostream. I encourage you to follow the links and discover new iPhoneographers whose work catches your eye.

Submissions are open to everyone with an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. All you have to do to submit your photography is to post your images to LoFi’s Flickr Group. Sundays, we feature a brand new showcase of outstanding iPhone photography.

Please enjoy this week’s set. As always, many thanks to all of the iPhoneographers who post and share their photography.

Not to take away from the talented people who made all of the images shown. But every week it seems like your faved on Flickr series has less actual photography, and more images that are just combined/edited/created. It takes talent without a doubt. It’s amazing art and I’m envious of the creativity involved. I’d personally love to see more actual photos people have taken.

  • Amy (_thisspace_)

Thank you, Marty! An honor to be included among such tremendous talent. Congrats to all!

Great selection Marty – lots of variety and as always a perfect mix between "digital art" and more traditional photography. You are truly a master when it comes to diversity and clarity of curatorial vision. It's never an easy balance between the poles of iPhoneography but you manage to strike it time and again. Kudos.
