Once again, Life In LoFi and the great folks at CanvasPop have teamed up for a great photo contest. Enter the SQUARE OFF Photo Contest for a chance to win a canvas from CanvasPop and a feature on Life In LoFi.

The contest is open to any square format mobile photography as long as it was shot and processed on a mobile device — iPhone, Android, Nokia. Other than that, there are no limits. Enter your photography now on Life In LoFi’s Facebook page.

One of the reasons we went with a square format contest is to combine the popularity of photo apps like Hipstamatic, Instagram, and others with CanvasPop’s great square format output. The combined image processing magic of CanvasPop’s in-house production and the forgiving nature of the canvas medium make for some great looking pieces, especially from Instagram prints.

Prizes

  • One Grand Prize winner will receive a 20×20 CanvasPop canvas and will be featured on Life In LoFi
  • Two Runners Up will receive a 12×12 CanvasPop canvas and a mention on Life In LoFi

Criteria and Rules

  • Must be a square format image
  • Maximum one photo entry per person
  • Entrants must reside in the contigious USA or Canada
  • Contest closes on April 1, 2012 at 11:59pm Central
  • The public will vote on their favorite images from April 2-9 and the final winners will be chosen by the judges by April 12

Marty Yawnick is the Publisher of the Life In LoFi: iPhoneography, a leading iPhoneography blog. He’s also a freelance graphic designer. He owns Type A Design, a small but cool graphic design studio based in Dallas/Fort Worth. His degree is in Fine Arts from a college that’s about this big: |<———–>| .

Steve Smith is a CanvasPop staffer who enjoys lines, symmetry, and blur. ”What I love about photography is that no two pictures are exactly alike, and the same subject can be captured in a countless variety of ways.” Check out Steve’s website and Instagram work.
