We’re back with Faved on Flickr, our regular showcase of iPhoneography. One of the good things about going a while between galleries is that there are a ton of excellent photographs to choose from. That’s also one of the bad things. To help get caught up, I’m going back a few weeks and will split this week’s Faved Showcase into two posts.
The lead image this week is a powerful bit of photojournalism caught by Shel Serkin, one of my favorite street photographers currently shooting with an iPhone. Other images this week include some stunning and well-shot photography from Dixon Hamby, Simon Sparks and Alessandro Orrea. There are some great abstracts from Jennifer Bracewell, Edina Herold, and Ginger Lucero, a brilliant and disturbing piece from Benamon Tame and the set finishes with a tribute to Beastie Boy MCA, Adam Yauch. I never got to see the Bea Stie Boys live, but I finally scored a copy of “Rock Hard.”
Links go back to the iPhonegrapher’s Flickr photostream. There are a lot of first-time appearances in this week’s selections and I encourage you to follow the links and discover new iPhoneographers whose work catches your eye.
Submissions are open to everyone with an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. All you have to do to submit your photography is to post your images to LoFi’s Flickr Group. Sundays, we feature a brand new showcase of more great iPhone photography
There are many other stunning works posted in Life In LoFi’s Flickr group. Please stop by there and have a look at the many other images that I can’t fit into this piece.
Please enjoy this set. I’ll have more this week to get caught up. As always, it’s the iPhoneographers who deserve the credit. Whether or not you were selected this week, thank you for sharing your art.
