Pop Camera is a collection of unique and funky camera types wrapped in an animated interface that gives the sense of an analog feel and the originality of the “toy camera.” Pop Camera is fun to play with. The UI animations are very well done. Many of the retro film effects look good, but this photo app is still unfinished and has problems. Among them, its low resolution output offsets all the spiffy features of the app.

eyephoneography is now accepting submissions for its third series of exhibitions. Like its predecessors, eyephoneography #3 focuses on the iPhoneographer’s body of work, rather than each individual image. Only a handful of iPhoneographers are selected, and the exhibit always generates a lot of publicity in Spain and Europe. This is a very prestigious exhibition.

Read More Super Retro is a recent photo app. It’s a combination image editor and retro photo filter app with a few advanced camera features thrown in to boot. It’s had a few updates to work out the bugs. It’s an interesting app with a lot of options — more than you’d expect from a retro camera app. Unfortunately, it’s still a few updates away from working out all of the kinks.
