We recently reviewed the latest update of iPhone photo app PhotoNova 2. It’s a good app with some uniquely implemented tools and a ton of filters — over 250 of them. Although it still has a few quirks, recent updates have really improved this app.

PhotoNova 2 is an interesting app with a lot of good one-click filters for iPhoneographers who want a fairly quick workflow. It also has a good set of tools for those who would like more custom editing ability. There are a lot of features here found in other apps, but it now has a good working toolset that lets you do more. The app has several tools to make selective edits, as well as blurs, channel operations-style effects and much more. There’s good sharing options and your can also send edited images to any other photo app that supports Apple’s “Open In…” feature.
The app is $1 and is worth a look. Requirements: Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Requires iOS 5.0 or later. This app is optimized for iPhone 5.
