I really love Percolator app. I have since it was released. It’s still one of the more unique apps in the App Store. It’s modern, yet retro and definitely very different from all of the faux-lomo Instagram clones. Not every photo works with it, but when you find the right combination of color and contrast, Percolator creates amazing effects that no other iPhone photo app available can do.
Developer John Balestrieri has been working on a “small” update. I say small only because he says so. It’s actually got a very cool new effect that I want. Now.
The new Percolator 2.4 update has been submitted to Apple for review and should be ready to go within a couple of weeks. This update introduces a very cool new brew called “Ray Ray.”
Ray Ray adds prismatic geometry to your percs. See the sample images below. The new brew adds some very nice, very cool angular geometry to the mix — well, rays.
Says the developer, “I think you will have a lot of fun with it.” I agree 100%. I can’t wait for this one.
Percolator 2.4 will be a free update to existing owners of the app. Percolator is $2.99 in the App Store. It’s a Universal app and is designed for both iPhone and iPad. Requirements: Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Requires iOS 5.0 or later. This app is optimized for iPhone 5.
