Stackables is a very slick and comprehensive effects layering and blending app. It’s packed with over 200 effects crafted by photographer Dirk Wuestenhagen. It lets you stack and rearrange layers of grunge overlays, color overlays, patterns and other adjustments — even your own photos. In this regard, it’s a lot like popular textures app Mextures.
Here’s where Stackables gets cool, though. Stackables also has a full selection of image adjustment tools such as White Balance, Color Balance, Vignette, Grain, Blur, and more. These tools are added as layers, giving you unprecedented control over color and tonal levels in your composition. It’s similar to Adjustment Layers in Adobe Photoshop Desktop and many photographers and retouchers (myself included) use this workflow as a powerful way to fine-tune adjustments.
