The Camera Plus Pro 3.4 update is in the App Store and has a ton of new filters and features. It’s a pretty significant update. It’s a very powerful and featured all-in-one photo app, but it still has a few things that I don’t like about it. I’ll have more on the Camera Plus Pro update later, but wanted to share the info about “Metamorphosis,” the iPhone photography contest they have launched to celebrate the new release.

PicFrame is a new frame/diptych app from New Zealand’s ActiveDevelopment, the makers of picfx. Use it to join multiple photos into one multi-image frame — a diptych, triptych or quadtych. It’s a very good multi-panel photo creator that stacks up well against the excellent Diptic.

When the retro-styled Lumiere was released a couple of months ago, I liked the app — wasn’t thrilled with it. At the time, I wrote about the first version “It’s got some good features. I just wish there were more of them.” Lumiere has been updated and the new 1.1 update gives users just that — more of what’s good about the app. There’s a lot to entusiastically like about Lumiere 1.1.
