The theme of the contest is “Shades of Summer.” You can be as broad in your interpretation of the summer theme as you want. All we ask is that your images are shot and processed using only an iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch or other camera phone.

Our panel of judges will pick the top 5 finalists, then you get to vote for the winner. In addition, all images will be eligible to win the People’s Choice vote.

Why CanvasPop?

When CanvasPop approached me about doing this promotion together, I first looked into the company before even contacting them back. I then spoke with them to see if this would be a good fit. One of the many things that struck me about CanvasPop is their production process. Images are tweaked and processed for maximum color and image quality by a real-life technician before output. I mentioned the relative low-res output of camera phones — no longer really a problem on the iPhone any more unless you’re using Instagram. Turns out CanvasPop has a super-secret algorithm that they use to get the best possible quality from any image.

There are a lot of options for enlarging and printing images. The guys from CanvasPop take as much pride in their output as we do in our photography. CanvasPop produces a great way to share and display your art.

I think it’s a good fit for this contest. I know y’all will create some great looking art. CanvasPop provides a great way to display it.
