Here’s some more Black Friday goodness. The excellent color-to-black & white apps MonoPhix for iPhone and iPod Touch and MonoPhixHD for iPad are FREE right now for a limited time. FlashPhix is also free right now. MonoPhix has been a favorite of Life In LoFi for some time. These are for the full versions of the apps, not a feature-limited “lite” version. If you don’t already have these excellent apps, grab them now!

The iPhone apps are a savings of $0.99 each and MonoPhixHD is a savings of $1.99.

Renzo Verleysen from the apps’ developer Phoenxsoftware also says on the MonoPhix Facebook page, “If you guys can get all Phix apps to a joint 10,000 downloads on Black Friday I’ll keep them free all weekend as well.”

MonoPhix (0.99$->0$) – The most powerful black & white app out there.

MonoPhix HD for iPad (1.99$ -> 0$) – The most powerful black & white app out there. (for iPad)

FlashPhix – Flash & Exposure Fix (0.99$ -> 0$) – Cross processing, automatic correction and lighting control in one easy app.

I downloaded MonoPhix for my iPhone4 running iOS 5.0.1. It has crashed on me several times. The first thing I did was open settings. When I tried to change the color of the pins to "none" it crashed. It did the same thing the second time I tried it. I shut down all the apps on my phone and restarted it. That seemed to fix the pin crash, but when I loaded a picture from my photo album, it crashed when I was using the sliders for light and dark shade intensity. After shutting down and restarting again, it lasted a lot longer. I was able to get a feel for what this app could do, but it once again crashed when I went back to the light and dark shade intensity sliders.

Am I just having a bad experience, or are other people having problems with this app crashing?
