Call for Entries: OH SNAP! Cell Phone Exhibition, Greensboro, NC

I visited Greensboro, North Carolina a few years ago. It’s in a region of the US that’s beautiful, old, new, engulfed in Kudzu, and very artistic and funky. Here’s a call for entries for an upcoming mobile phone show there from the Center For Visual Artists Gallery in Greensboro, NC for OH SNAP! Cell Phone Exhibition.

This is a mobile phone-only event and the exhibition is open to any mobile phone platform. There’s no entry fee and you won’t make any money from your photos. But you will get exposure and another accomplishment for your CV. The photos will be for sale online and in the gallery.  All proceeds will go to benefit the Center for Visual Artists gallery exhibitions and education programs, helping to share the arts in Greensboro.

Mobile photographers may enter up to five (5) photos. The last day to enter your images is this Sunday, August 20, 2012 at 11:59pm EST. Both the gallery exhibition and the online sale runs from September 5, 2012 through October 5.

  • That’s cool! It’s a little weird that it says all photos will be printed 8×10. What about square photos or other proportions? Would hope they wouldn’t crop your photo to a new size.

    • Hi, Crystal,

That's a good question. I've contacted the gallery and will update you when I receive an answer.

      • I'm pretty close to one of the organizers of this exhibition, and I'm almost positive that if the images are in a square or alternate format, that they'll more than likely be printed at the equivalent square size (or alternate proportion), for example, if the image is a square, it will likely be printed at 8"x8". If I hear anything different though, I'll be sure to let you guys know!
