I always love brick and mortar exhibitions of iPhone prints. As the artform grows, expect to see more of these. Preaching to the choir here, but looking at the galleries on The iPhoneography Blog, Pixels At An Exhibition, and numerous other sites and photoblogs, there is some amazing photography that’s being created with iPhones.
If you are near New York City next week, CULTUREfix is hosting an exhibition of Hipstamatic prints. It’s a one-night event. If you’re in the city, be sure to check it out.

CULTUREfix is proud to present the opening of DIJITAL FIX, the specialized boutique we share space with. To send DIJITAL FIX’s 2nd location into the stratosphere we will exhibit over 100 prints made from the Hipstamatic iphone app in the gallery curated by Savannah Spirit.
SOLSTICE: Rebirth of Summer is just 1 of the many contests by Hipstamatic which will be held every month online and will also kick off their traveling shows exclusively @ CULTUREfix for the next 6 months before it moves on to a new city. For this particular show there will be 1 grand prize winner to receive a plethora of prizes from DIJITAL FIX chosen by 4 judges at the show:
- Alexandra Niki, editor-in-chief of Resource Magazine, a quarterly publication dedicated to the subculture of the photo production industry.
- David Bias, VP of Impossible America and one of the people responsible for bringing back polaroid film into production.
- Jamie Chung, still life photographer based in NYC.
- Michael Mabes, medium-format portrait and travel photographer based in NYC.
