While photo editing apps PhotoForge, Iris Photo Suite, and Photogene are getting all the attention, PhotoWizard-Editor by Pankaj Goswami is another good app in this class that’s definitely worth a look at. It’s a full-featured image editor with a complete suite of editing tools as well as some other unique features.

PhotoWizard-Editor is a complete image editing app for any iDevice running OS 3.0 or newer — a good feature for users on older devices. Its toolbox includes all of the basics — image editing, crop and rotate, as well as over 50 filters and FX — many of them very good. One of the features I particularly like about this app is the unique Mask tool, similar to Photoshop masking.
It’s pretty fast and I’ve found the app to be stable in iOS4. It saves images in full resolution. If you’re unable to run Photogene on your older device, this is definitely a replacement worth looking into.
