Hey, Miami! The International Cell Phone Photo Show opens tonight and you are invited to the opening reception. The opening night reception for this event is tonight and the public is invited. The opening reception is from 7:00 PM-10:00 PM at Artspace MAGQ Gallery. The show is open to the public from Friday, October 8th until Thursday, November 4, 2010. The address is below.
Among the other many mobile phone photographers, local Miami artist and iPhoneographer Jaime Ferreyros has 5 photographs which are on display in this show, including the two above. “I want to do PR to open the door to more iPhoneography shows in Miami,” says Jaime.
“The International Cell Phone Photo Show” is a juried exhibit, showcasing artists worldwide that have submitted work produced using any cell phone available to the artist.
Here is the link for many of the images that will be on display at the Artspace MAGQ show. One of the things that is interesting about this show are the large number of images that were shot with other mobile devices, including Droid and others. Without the large number of apps available for their phones, there are a lot of “naked” unprocessed images in this collection. It’s an interesting cross-section of mobile phone photography.
If you’re in or near Miami, Florida the next few weeks, check out this excellent display of cell phone photography.
