Nick Campbell’s Banana Camera Company is planning on shaking up the venerable instant camera app, ShakeItPhoto. According to a recent post to the BCC blog:
We are currently working on a big update for ShakeItPhoto that will include full rez processing, EXIF/GEO data, sharing options, and of course, a new sexy icon for the retina display.
No release date for the update is available yet.
You can read the entire post on the new Banana Camera Company FAQ page, including tips on using ShakeItPhoto and BCC’s other app, Cross Process.
ShakeItPhoto has long been one of the favorite fauxlaroids of iPhoneographers. The color effects, saturation, and gentle vignette around the textured frame are among the most visually appealing of the instant camera apps. The bump in resolution will be a welcome update. Currently, the app only saves at 1 MP — 1040×1016 pixels.
ShakeItPhoto runs on any iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. It’s $0.99 in the App Store.
We’re looking forward to the update. We’ll keep you posted with any new information and let you know as soon as the update is released.
