If you’re in or near Portland, Maine this Friday, August, August 5, be sure to check out First Friday Art Walk. Don’t miss Art House Picture Frames for the opening of “Mobile Natura”, a brick and mortar exhibition from iPhoneographer Kimberly Post Rowe, running there through August.
From the press release:
Art House Picture Frames August show features the works of Kimberly Post Rowe. Her photography, or in this case, iPhoneography, offers an exceptional introduction to an emerging media that blends the simplistic image capture of the iPhone or similar technology with the ability to edit and manipulate with apps strictly on the mobile device. The finished work is then uploaded or printed directly from the iPhone. Post Rowe captures the subtle beauty of the natural world in ways that appear quietly grand and otherworldly, sometimes making the familiar unrecognizable.
The opening reception is from five to eight in the evening on August eighth during the First Friday Art Walk, and the works will be on display though August thirty-first. Art House Picture Frames is located at 61 Pleasant Street in Portland, Maine and can be reached at 221-3443 or online at arthousepictureframes.com.
