Here is Life In LoFi’s regular Sunday showcase, Faved On Flickr for December 4. New and established iPhoneographers continue to share their great mobile photography in the Life In LoFi group on Flickr. All of the artwork is shot (or otherwise created) and processed on an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. Pretty amazing tools when you let your imagination go.
There are a lot of cool images this week. Click past the jump to see what’s in this week’s gallery. >>>
This week, there were a lot of outstanding abstracts submitted to the group and that’s reflected here in the selection.
This week’s lead image, “Rendez-Vous” by mutablend is another of their dreamy abstracts. Another image in this series was chosen for the 11.24.11 Faved showcase. “Image pic #51” by Souichi Furusho is a striking play of abstract light and shadow — to me, the background looks like a surreal starscape in the photograph. “Window Pain” is an excellent combination of backlight and shadow. The perfectly captured light rays really make this photo for me. There is so much downward motion in Roger Guetta’s “Freedom Costs.” Spend some time with this one. This diptych is a powerful image. I’ve missed submissions from Emily Rose recently. She’s got a great slice of life this week with her perfectly lit capture, “only the sound of clocks.”
I love the tranquility of a good landscape. There are several this week, including Chris Harland’s very classical looking “Waterhead, Ambleside, Cumbria” and Robert-Paul Jansen’s lovely and ethereal “Bend & Mist.”
Again, there are several outstanding abstracts this week, but the ones that really caught my eye are the new ongoing series from one of iPhoneography’s premier artists, Benamon Tame. In “Abstractions”, his new series, he combines geometry, color, tone, and texture to great effect. It’s an impressive series of modern art.
There are other outstanding photographs this week from Aik Beng Chia, Clint Cline, Jennifer Bracewell (one of her abstracts, not a bona fide selfie), John Mallon, James Velasquez, Gladly Beyond and others.

For your chance to be seen in this feature, all you have to do is be a member of the Flickr group, post, and keep submitting these great images. Here’s the link to Life In LoFi on Flickr. Sundays, we feature a brand new set.
I hope you enjoy today’s showcase. There should be more next Sunday. As always, many thanks to the iPhoneographers who post and share their outstanding photography.
