This is the Holiday Edition of Life In LoFi’s regular Sunday showcase, Faved On Flickr for December 25. For new iPhone owners or for those new to this blog, this is our weekly showcase of photography that is shot and processed (or in some cases created) solely on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. New and established iPhoneographers share their great mobile photography in the Life In LoFi group on Flickr.
This week, there are a lot of excellent images to inspire your own work. Click past the jump for this week’s gallery. >>>
This week’s gallery starts off with some great holiday photos. They aren’t typical holiday snaps. Nick Kanta’s “354” has great light and color. I live the contrast between the simple, stark house and the bright festiveness of the decorations in Star Rush’s “Candy Canes.” John Mallon’s “Main Street” is a stark, powerful and timely photograph, as is Jeffrey Boyer’s composite “The Prisoners.”
Other images I really like this week are Lynette Jackson’s excellent series of “decim8ed” architectural abstracts. There are several other industrial architectural photos this week including great works from fttwentytwo and Judy Beatriz. Jennifer Bracewell continues to share excellent images that are not her creative self-portraits with her excellent abstract “Objectification.” Dixon Hamby shares an excellent, dark, moody capture, “Dance floor.”
There is other excellent iPhoneography from Isabelle “MissPixels” Gagne, Daniel Berman, Roger Guetta, Clint Cline, Robin Sweet, Alan Kastner, Kevin Buchanan, as well as many first-time iPhoneographers for Faved.
Links go back to the iPhonegrapher’s Flickr photostream. I encourage you to follow the links and discover new iPhoneographers whose work catches your eye.
Submissions are open to everyone with an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. All you have to do to submit your photography is to post your images to Life In LoFi on Flickr. On Sundays, we feature a brand new showcase of outstanding iPhone photography.
I hope you enjoy today’s set. As always, many thanks to all of the iPhoneographers who post and share their photography every week.
