Here is this week’s Faved On Flickr, one of the longest-running iPhoneography showcases on the web. Here are some of the excellent images chosen from the those shared to Life In LoFi’s Flickr group.
In addition to sharing the works from established and well-known artists, one of the things I love about doing this weekly showcases are the surprises. I love discovering iPhoneographers who are new to this group whose artistic vision takes us in a direction that we’ve never seen before, whether it’s looking at the everyday in a slightly different light (no pun intended) or combining apps in production to create wondrous new abstracts that not only move the viewer on some emotional level, but also make the iPhoneographer in us ask, “How did they do that?”

There was a lot of great iPhone photography submitted this week. This week’s Faved will be a big one. There are breathtaking landscapes, brilliant abstracts, and several great portraits.
The showcase kicks off with mutablend’s semi-surreal dreamscape, “Dream of Flying {Flying Lesson#1}.” It’s a great photograph full of motion and emotion. In a single moment, the image captures a compelling story.
This week’s showcase also features outstanding and imaginative images from Paul Moore, Dixon Hamby, Alan Kastner, Greg Schmigel, Clint Cline, Igor Phomin, Jahsharn, Ginger Lucero, Michael Sutton, Mel Harrison, Lindsey Thompson, Andrew Proudlove, and many others.
Several of this week’s images were also selected for our new, Twitter-only feature, Life In LoFi’s Daily Pic. Follow @LifeInLoFiBlog on Twitter to see each day’s image.
Links go back to the iPhoneographer’s Flickr photostream. There are a lot of first-time appearances in this week’s selections and I encourage you to follow the links to discover new artists whose work catches your eye.
Submissions are open to everyone with an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. To submit your photography, simply post your images to Life In LoFi’s Flickr group. Sundays, we feature a brand new showcase of more great iPhone photography
There are many other stunning works posted in our Flickr group. Be sure to stop by there and have a look at the many other images that I can’t fit into this piece.
Enjoy this set. As always, it’s the iPhoneographers who deserve the credit. My sincere thanks to all of the mobile photographers and artists who continue to share their outstanding photography here and elsewhere.
