Here is this week’s Faved On Flickr, our weekly (mostly) showcase of great mobile photography. Here are some of the excellent images chosen from the those shared to Life In LoFi’s Flickr group.
I started posting these showcases in August, 2010, which makes it one of the longest-running iPhoneography showcases on the web. By design, it’s not a competition, but a showcase meant to share and inspire. I try to share a wide variety of photographers and styles — from established iPhoneographers to those who have yet to “break out,” from straightforward photographic styles to dreamscapes and abstract iPhone art. Regardless of who created the works, I’m always amazed at the creativity and diversity that gets shared online.

One of my favorite street iPhoneographers currently shooting is Clay Benskin. Against the backdrop of New York City, Clay finds and captures dramatic moments of everyday life. One of the things I love about his photography is how well his images share a story. Clay’s got the lead image this week which is a perfectly timed capture of a a summer day in the neighborhoods of New York.
This week’s showcase also features outstanding mobile photography by Shel Serkin, Paul Moore, Deb Evans Braun, Lynette Jackson, Donna French, Lumilyon, Jennifer Bracewell, Billy Calzada, Lu Guada, and more.
Several images in this week’s showcase were also selected for our new, Twitter-only feature, Life In LoFi’s Daily Pic. Follow @LifeInLoFiBlog on Twitter to see each day’s image.
Links go back to the iPhoneographer’s Flickr photostream. There are a lot of first-time appearances in this week’s selections and I encourage you to follow the links to discover new artists whose work catches your eye.
Submissions are open to everyone with an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. To submit your photography, simply post your images to Life In LoFi’s Flickr group. Sundays, we feature a brand new showcase of more great iPhone photography
There are many other stunning works posted in our Flickr group. Be sure to stop by there and have a look at the many other images that I can’t fit into this piece.
Please enjoy this set. As always, it’s the iPhoneographers who deserve the credit. My sincere thanks to all of the iPhoneographers who continue to share their outstanding photography here and elsewhere.
