After 1 years of R&D and production preparation, Muku Shuttr, the first ever mobile shutter to be able to work on both iPhone and Android, is ready for mass production.

Why Muku Shuttr?

Ever tried taking self-portrait with your smartphone but found that the view was always limited by your arm-length? Ever tried to take a group photo but one guy is always missing in the picture? Ever trying to take photo with kids but they never stay in front of the camera for more than 2 seconds?

Muku Shuttr is designed to solve all these problem by resting in your keychain and allow you to take photo with yourself, your friends and your kids anytime you want.

Muku Shuttr is probably the most easy to use Remote Shutter for Smartphone ever invented.

1. It works both on iOS and Samsung S4, S3, Notes 2, 10.1, LG Nexus 4 and many other Android 4.1+ devices with bluetooth 3.0+.

2. For iPhone, it works WITHOUT downloading or installing 3rd party camera app!

3. At 6 mm thickness, it is the world’s thinnest remote shutter release ever invented! So small that you can carry it as a keychain so that you capture every precious moments in your daily life.

You only need to pair it with your device once. The next time you use, you just turn on Muku Shuttr, press the camera button once to connect to the bluetooth and you are ready to take photo.

You can always pair up Muku Shuttr with another smartphone when it’s turned on and the LED is flashing. But if you want to use back it with the first smartphone, you have to unpair (in Android) or forget (in iPhone) the Shuttr record in the first smartphone and pair it up again.

The Muku uses Bluetooth 3.0. The range is around 10 meters / 30 feet. No line of sight is needed. You can take a photo by pressing camera button inside your pocket. It works on both front and back cameras as long if you flip it to either the front or the rear before you take photo or video.

So far, the Muku is tested to work with Camera+ and 645 Pro in iOS. It doesn’t work on Instagram yet. One easy way to test if your camera app on IOS works with Muku Shuttr is to test if it can take a photo with the volume up button on your devices. There is no easy way to perform a test on Android.

The Muku Shuttr is $29 with an October shipping date — $39 if you want to receive one in September. Preorder a Muku here on the Muku Shuttr Kickstarter page.
