Consistently top-selling camera replacement app, Camera+ was updated today to version 2.4VS. Its one new feature: the return of VolumeSnap.
The new Camera+ 2.2.1 update is out now. While mostly a bux fix and performance tweak update, they still managed to add a cool new feature that none of the other major camera apps have.
The Camera Plus Pro 3.4 update is in the App Store and has a ton of new filters and features. It’s a pretty significant update. It’s a very powerful and featured all-in-one photo app, but it still has a few things that I don’t like about it. I’ll have more on the Camera Plus Pro update later, but wanted to share the info about “Metamorphosis,” the iPhone photography contest they have launched to celebrate the new release.
The big new feature of this Camera+ update is a scene mode called Clarity. It’s a 1-tap image enhancement that makes photos look stunning. It blows away just about anything Apple does with their HDR.
For no investment other than bandwidth and download time, you can improve your iPhone’s camera and get some impressive looking photographs. While not complete, here’s my list of the ten best FREE photo apps currently available in the App Store.
VolumeSnap is back in several minor apps. The latest is Quick Snap – Camera Plus which was released on December 15, 2009. They are pretty blatant about the feature, describing VolumeSnap in the first line of the App Store description and they even use photos of the Easter Egg.
After a 4-month hiatus, the excellent photo app Camera+ by tap tap tap is back in the App Store. If you’re a previous owner of the app, this is a free update.
