pic.me iPhone 4 Tripod Case in the Works

Back in December, 2010, I reviewed the pic.me Tripod Case for iPhone 3G/3GS. It’s a lightweight and low profile case that that transforms into a multi-angle tripod stand and a viewing stand. At the time, I wrote,

The pic.me iPhone case is an attractive case that offers good protection for your iPhone from everyday scratches and bumps. The built-in “kickstand” is a great substitute for users who may otherwise want a tripod simply for time lapse or to get into their own photos. It’s also a great stand for watching video or playing games on your iPhone. Overall, it’s a good case. It packs a lot into a little.

Now, an iPhone 4 version of the case is in the works.

Cool Link: How To Make a Hipstamatic Camera Case for an iPhone

Photo courtesy of Tragically Hipstamatic Blog

A while back, we posted a link for making your iPhone 4 look like a Leica M8 camera. In case you missed it, Tragically Hipstamatic blog recently posted a similar method for skinning your iPhone 4 to look like a “Hipstamatic 185″ case. It’s a cool project and pretty easy to make. You’ll need an Xacto knife, a small OLFA knife or some other fine utility knife.

Tragically Hipstamatic writes in a January 2, 2011 post:

My iPhone 4 is a camera that I sometimes use to make phone calls, and with that in mind I endeavoured to make my iPhone look like the camera I use the most: the Hipstamatic.

Review: The pic.me iPhone tripod case for iPhone 3G & 3GS

Your iPhone should never be naked. A good case protects against scratches and shocks, while adding a couple of millimeters between your camera lens and things that want to scratch it.

The pic.me iPhone tripod case by mini-mal is a very good case for your iPhone. It offers additional functionality along with protection. Probably my biggest complaint about the case is that it isn’t available for iPhone 4 yet.

Life In LoFi’s 2010 Holiday Gift Guide for iPhoneographers

The 2010 holiday shopping season is officially upon us. Cyber Monday — the Monday after the Thanksgiving holiday here in the U.S. — has become the biggest online shopping day worldwide. I suspect it has a lot to do with a) there is nothing worth getting up at 4:00 am to wait in line in the cold for on Black Friday, and b) after a four-day weekend, it’s really, really, really hard to get back in that work groove. Honestly, I can only hit refresh on Facebook for so many hours before I’ve got to do something else.

Life In LoFi has put together this shopping guide/wish list for iPhoneographers. There’s a broad range of gift ideas here. Practical items to help improve your iPhoneography. Cool, geeky gadgets that are just great to have. A few fun, non-iPhoneography related items that appeal to your inner Apple fanboy.
