P1xels.com announces MOBILE P1XELS, a large format show of iphonic art at the prestigious Los Angeles Center for Digital Arts in Los Angeles. Opening Thursday, April 12, 2012 and running through May 5. It’s ArtWalk night and if you’ve never been to the LA ArtWalk, it is crazy! LACDA gets a HUGE turnout. The gallery is open Wednesday through Saturday, noon to 5 pm, as well.

The premier virtual gallery for high-art iPhoneography and Mobile Photography has created the first website devoted exclusively to the sale of limited-edition archival prints from the leading artists in this new art genre.
Pixelsatanexhibition.com announced recently that it has launched a companion site, P1xels.com, the first website devoted to the sale of limited edition high-art iPhoneography prints from some of the finest artists in this new medium in the world. Many of the prints will only be available in a series of as few as 8 pieces, although archival, unsigned prints will be available by special order as well. Each print in the series will be numbered and signed by the artist and carry the artist’s provenance. The site represents works from some of the most acclaimed and recognized artists in the medium including, Maia Panos, Butow Maller, Andrea Mdos, Rudy Vogel, Cindy Patrick, Glen Homann, Jose Chavarry, Gordan Fraser, James Clarke, Jamie Stewart, Kris Torma, Max T. Frame, Ramona Gillentine, Robert Mullen, and Knox Bronson.

Cameras have been an option on mobile phones since the late 1990’s. By 2006, half of the world’s mobile phones had a camera… less than 10 years after their introduction. The mobile phone camera was originally included as a means to quickly share instant digital snapshots. I doubt that the mobile phone camera was ever envisioned as creating a new art form. But today, some of the most creative and dynamic photographic works are being shot and processed solely with an iPhone.
The Pixels: The Art of the iPhone exhibition opened March 31, 2011 at the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art in Santa Ana, California. The opening celebration was this weekend.
The exhibit is an essential collection of works, curated from the thousands of images submitted to Pixels, featuring many of the most important iPhoneographers working today.
If you’re in the Los Angeles area this weekend, add to your plans the opening of “Pixels: The Art of iPhone Photography” at the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art (OCCCA). This important exhibition runs March 31 – April 28, 2011 and the opening is Saturday, April 2, 2011, 6 PM-10 PM. Several of the iPhoneographers exhibited in the exhibition will be present, including show curators Knox Bronson, Maia Panos, and Jeff Alu. Also attending are Christian Peacock and myself, Marty Yawnick. Other L.A. area iPhoneographers will be there as well.

The Pixels: The Art of the iPhone exhibition at the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art in Santa Ana, California opens in a few weeks. The online catalog of the show has been published by Pixels curator Knox Bronson.
The show runs from March 31 through April 28, 2011 at OCCCA then moves to the Arty Gallery in Downtown Los Angeles for an additional two month run.
Pixels: The Art of iPhonehas just posted a call for entries for an iPhone Photography exhibition at the Orange County Center For Contemporary Art in Santa Ana, CA. The exhibition runs March 31-April 30, 2011.
Pixels is one of the premier online iPhoneography galleries and is curated by Knox Bronson, who also presented the first brick-and-mortar iPhone photography exhibit, the famous Giorgi Gallery shows, as well as the first iPhone photography exhibits in Apple Stores across the country.
The Pixels – The Art of the iPhone at Apple event comes to Southern California today, Thursday, November 11, 2010 at the Third Street Promenade Apple Store in Santa Monica at 7:00 PM. Directions are below after the jump.
Several artists are speaking and presenting, including Pixels curator Knox Bronson, iPhoneographers Suzan Mikiel, Zoe Wiseman and Jose Chavarry. There are video presentations from many of the iPhoneographers. A number of new works as well as photography from prior exhibits will be featured, along with videos, slide-shows, and interviews of Pixels artists projected on the big screen in the theater. There will be a Q&A with the photographers, who will also be available after the presentations.
