Live FX: On Sale for $0.99 Until June 20!

Here’s a quick sale. Live FX is on sale for $0.99 until June 20 — that’s $2.00 off the regular price. This is the full version and not a featured-limited lite version.

LiveFX allows you to easily create and apply thousands of unique photo effects by means of filter “stacking.” It features a unique live preview which displays selected effects in the viewfinder before shooting (and was quickly duplicated by several subsequent apps).

It’s a good app. It reminds me of Best Camera with a lot more filters. If you take the time to master the combinations, it’s possible to create some great effects with this app. I’ve previously reviewed the app — click here for my original review.

It’s not clear if the sale good until Sunday or through Sunday. Either way, if you’re thinking of buying this app, grab it quick before it goes back up to $2.99. This is a great opportunity to try out the full version of the app for only a dollar.

Sunlight Tracker on Sale for 50% Off This Week

Sunlight Tracker for iPhone

Sunlight Tracker

Sunlight Tracker from InvisibleBits is on sale for $0.99 USD for this week only. It’s a useful utility for photographers to help determine many aspects of sunlight, including sunrise and sunset times to help figure the Blue and Golden Hours, the direction of sunlight at any given time or location, and even the azimuth of the sun in the sky.

Sunlight Tracker is the daylight utility that I use. While I didn’t review the app here, photographer Micheal Zelbel did recently on his Smoking Strobes blog. Click here to see his excellent video review.

Not everyone needs a daylight tracker, but if you want more information about the sun’s light to help plan your shoots, I highly recommend you purchase Sunlight Tracker during this sale.

FlashPhix 2 on Sale for $0.99 – Limited Time Only!

FlashPhix iPhone DRCFlashPhix 2.2 by Phoenxsoftware is on sale now for only $0.99 USD. The app is 50% off until the new update is released. FlashPhix provides you with a set of features which enable you to control a picture’s exposure, colors and contrast to the detail.

This is the full version, not the lite version, and it recently sold for $1.99. The app is from the makers of the excellent MonoPhix app, which produces some of the best color-to-monochrome conversion available on the iPhone.

While I haven’t reviewed FlashPhix 2 here yet, I do use the app. FlashPhix often produces very good results for me when I use it to fix the exposure of an image. It’s easy to use, but also offers enough additional controls to make purchasing the full version worthwhile especially now that it’s on sale. This also gets you into the update path.

I’m unsure how long before the update will be released and FlashPhix returns to its normal price. If you’ve been considering buying this app, hurry to the App Store now.

PhotoForge for iPhone On Sale for 99¢

Photoforge

PhotoForge

PhotoForge by GhostBird Software is on sale right now and for a limited time, the price has been reduced to just $0.99 USD — the lowest price I’ve seen it in a while.

Several apps have tried to wear the namesake of “Photoshop for the iPhone” including Photogene and PerfectPhoto. PhotoForge truly is the image editing powerhouse for iPhone. I use both this and Photogene regularly to process my images. If you’re only using Photogene, you are missing out on so much that your iPhone is capable of.

Click here to read our recent review of PhotoForge. Recently, PhotoForge was selling for $2.99 USD. It’s a great app at three bucks and one that I use often. For $0.99, PhotoForge is an essential purchase if you don’t have it already. I’m not sure how long this sale will last, so grab it now before the price goes back up.

PhoneGrafer for iPhone FREE for Christmas!

PhoneGrafer

PhoneGrafer

PhoneGrafer by emotionale is now available for free for the holidays through December 28, 2009.

PhoneGrafer is a camera app with a built-in self-timer, image leveling and an assortment of filters. You can upload straight to Flickr from within the app and the app saves some EXIF data with your photos.

The filter set is appealing. The Russian filter duplicates the look of a plastic toy camera, a Holga. I also like that you can add a color cast in the CMYK color space. The app supports iPhone 3GS file sizes and saves in full resolution.

Grab it now while it’s free!

ColorSplash by PocketPixels is on sale for the very first time for one week, through November 27, 2009. Normally going for $1.99 USD, right now you can grab this app for half off, $0.99.

From the app description:

ColorSplash lets you quickly and easily give photos a dramatic look by converting them to black and white, while keeping your chosen details in color. This effect — known as a “cutout” or “selective color” — draws the viewers’ attention to the colored areas.

Since its release, ColorSplash has spent a lot of time at or near the very top of the paid apps of the Photography section of the App Store — quite an impressive feat. It’s received great reviews from many app and iPhoneography websites. If you don’t already have ColorSplash and have been on the fence about it, this is a great opportunity to snag this great app.
