HarrisCamera for iPhone is a recent camera app that creates a “Harris Shutter Effect” (also known as a “Tri-filter Effect”) photo on your iPhone. On film, the effect is produced by re-exposing the same frame of film through red, green and blue filters in turn, usually while keeping the camera steady. I previously reviewed the app here.
The new 1.1 update was just released and fixes my biggest complaint with the app. With this update, HarrisCamera now supports full device resolution — that’s 8 megapixels on an iPhone 4S.
It’s a unique analog effect. This is an easy to use camera app that creates a great effect and is definitely worth checking out.
HarrisCamera is $0.99 in the App Store. Requirements: Compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (4th generation), iPad 2 Wi-Fi and iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G. Requires iOS 4.0 or later.
